Tour Kathy's House

It’s been a lot of work over the last few months, but Kathy’s House is ready for guests! We still have work to do on the property, but the interior space is ready to go.  Whether it’s just some afternoon time to relax/recharge or an overnight stay, we want to extend an invitation to the family/friends of WVU Medicine/Reynolds patients to take advantage of this home environment.  We currently offer two full bedrooms, two bathrooms, spacious living room, dining room, stocked kitchen, bonus room plus laundry.  There’s also a back porch facing the hillside that provides a serene environment and quite often a visit from a family of deer.  The large side lot offers ample space for outdoor family activities.  Only 4/10ths of a mile from the hospital, the property at 615 Glen Haven Ave is a 2-minute drive (or a 7-minute scenic walk via St. Jude Park).

The living room is a comfortable space with couches, easy chair, television, and a fireplace. The kitchen seats four and offers everything needed to make a quick snack or family dinner. All utensils, appliances, cookware, dinnerware etc are provided.  There will also be a variety of foods, snacks, drinks & more provided by Noah’s Pantry. The dining room seats up to 6 and is ready for family dinner or board games in the evening. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed, closets, dressers, nightstand, and Roku equipped televisions.  There is a full-sized bathroom located between the bedrooms and another off the bonus room.  The bonus room is an airy room looking up to the tranquil hillside.  In addition to the big screen Smart TV, there is a washer and dryer available for our guests (detergent, dryer sheets supplied).  In short, Kathy’s House is a welcoming space designed to honor how Kathy maintained her own home.  Whether short or long term please reach out to us for visitor arrangements.
