WHO
WE ARE

A hospitality project serving WVU Medicine/Reynolds Memorial Hospital and the Greater Marshall County Area.

MISSION

STATEMENT.

To honor the life of Kathy Criswell-Martin and carry on her legacy of compassion, care and comfort to those in need. The creation, maintenance, and operation of Kathy’s House will provide a hospitality facility to those patients and their families receiving medical care at WVUMedicine – RMH and the surrounding community. It will be designed somewhat like a Ronald McDonald House but it will be for all ages and on a much smaller scale in the beginning.

Foundation Initiatives

Kathy’s House

The goal of Kathy’s House will be to provide a “home” environment for families and patients at Reynolds Memorial and the surrounding community. The construction, renovation & operation of this comfort facility will require significant funding. Funding sources to include social media, private & corporate donors.

The Kathy-Bag Project

Provides basic toiletries, gift items and inspirational notes inside a keepsake tote. These totes are distributed in hospitals, care homes and are also randomly given to brighten someone’s day all across the United States. Kathy’s family loves to take the Kathy Bags and hand them out in an effort to promote the importance of caring for one another just like Kathy did.

Noah’s Pantry

A food bank dedicated to feeding Marshall County families in need. The creation of Kathy’s Nephew, Noah Grigsby, Noah’s Pantry has provided Holiday meals for hundreds in the McMechen area. Also, it provides year-round supplemental assistance via McMechen Grade School.

Bags for Veterans Initiative

An annual (Veteran’s Day & Memorial Day) tribute to those who’ve served our country. A gift bag hand-delivered to the hundreds of Veterans in Marshall County.
